Lavonya Chapman, Esq., RN - Director of Claims/Litigation of Robinson-Adams Insurance, Inc. Lavonya graduated from Samford University (B.S. Nursing, magna cum laude, 1981), where she was a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Sigma Theta Tau and Pi Gamma Mu. She has worked as a registered nurse in various clinical settings, taught at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, was a consultant for the Alabama Hospital Association, and handled commercial liability claims at a major insurance company. She graduated from Birmingham School of Law (J.D., 1995), where she was a member of Sigma Delta Kappa. She is a member of the Birmingham Bar Association's Medical Liaison Committee, and has served as a speaker on insurance defense litigation topics at continuing education seminars sponsored by the Alabama Self-Insureds Association, Alabama Workers' Compensation Organization and the Alabama Chapter of Legal Nurse Consultants. She is a member of the Defense Research Institute (DRI) Long-Term Care Subcommittee, American Health Lawyers Association, American Bar Association-Employers Liability and Health Law Committees, the Alabama State Bar-Workers' Compensation Section, Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, Alabama Nursing Home Defense Lawyers Association, and American Society of Law, Medicine & Ethics. LaKeetia Alexander - Claims & Claims Accounting Coordinator. She has attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham and obtained Certificates of Completion in various computer systems and software. She is responsible for the programming and maintenance of our database systems in our risk management department. LaKeetia is responsible for setting up and reporting all liability claims prior to the Captive Insurance Program. She is also responsible for reporting assisted living liability claims as well as Employment Practice Liability claims for all accounts insured.
